VSLA group Pani Story of Muzamil Juma (Kochi- sub county
- resident of lolo west. A village, Nabara parish, Kochi sub county in Yumbe District. Muzamil dropped out of school due to lack of school fees and became a member of Pani Group. He Joined Caritas farming group and started farming in the garden to raise money for savings in this group. His saving started from 2000/= per week and now he is saving up to 10,000 per week as of now. He said that I borrowed my 1st loan of Ugx 50,000 to buy clothes and gave part to my wife to buy food. My 2nd Loan was 300,000 which I used to start the foundation of my semi-permanent house and poultry project.
- The loan repayment does not give sleepless nights, “My dream is to rear poultry in large scale and finish my semi-permanent house after share out. The training and support from Caritas has made my vision to become true because I have finally achieved my 1st dream for this cycle after getting Ugx 717,000/= at share out” he said. According to Muzamil, he is waiting for another loan to add the number of chicken and start selling some in their nearby market.
